This record is timestamped and written to an immutable ledger, establishing provenance that cannot be altered or disputed retroactively. Automated monitoring agents scan a wide range of services continuously for matches to registered works. Detection relies on audio fingerprinting technology that identifies usage regardless of filename, metadata tags, or distribution channel.

When a match is found, the system classifies it as licensed or unlicensed based on existing agreements between the rights holder and the platform or service where the use occurred. Licensed usage is logged and routed immediately into royalty calculation, with payments settled according to the ownership splits recorded at registration time. There are no manual reconciliation steps and no need to renegotiate statements each cycle.
